My eBook

This is the eBook I created using Google drive presentations! Not only does my eBook explain how to make a delicious lobster tail, it represents the TPACK knowledge I have gained in the past few weeks. My presentation depicts all of the skills I have learned to do including: creating a Google drive presentation, adding graphics and videos to that presentation, citing those resources (pictures and videos) properly, adding transitions and animations, following “Rules of Quality Presentations,” and embedding my presentation into my blog! Thus, I have gained a variety of technological skills that I can easily implement into the classroom. I was also provided with a plethora of online resources and instructions that I have saved on my computer. I plan on using these tools to teach my future students how to construct eBooks just like mine!

I believe my future students will benefit from all that I have learned in this class as they are 21st century learners! That is, they enjoy using technology, as it is relevant to their lives. I believe students will enjoy sharing their digital stories by creating a blog or eBook just like mine! I will provide students with some imperative resources just as my teacher did for me. For example, the “Rules of Quality Presentations” are extremely basic and helpful when one is creating a presentation of any kind! It explains how many words and pictures to have on a page, what colors to use, etc. I believe engraving these ideas into my students’ minds (as it has been engraved into mine) will help them for years and year to come (since presentations are a must in education)!

I also think that giving students the chance to present on something that interests them (just as we did in class) encourages them to develop a technological knowledge base in a fun way! Students can GLOBALLY share how to cook their favourite meal, how to draw a giraffe, or how to throw a curve ball. The possibilities are endless! After completing my eBook, and speaking to my colleagues about theirs, I realize just how adaptable an eBook presentation can be. Moreover, this class has shown me how adaptable technology in general can be! There are a variety of presentation or sharing modes, and an even broader variety of subject matter to cover!
