My TPACK Journey
The following Google Drive eBook displays my TPACK journey! Over the last few weeks I have been learning how to use this amazing tool in order to foster a tech-enhanced learning environment! This tool allows you to create an easily accessible, engaging presentations while implementing video clips, hyperlinks, images, audio clips, and more! This tool can be easily be learned and used in a classroom environment for both the teacher and student benefits. I like how it allows me to create a "base" of technology resources that I ( or my future students) can access at any time! I will continue to build both my blog and TPACK presentation as I develop my skills! So stay tuned!
I believe this eBook would also be great to use for a project-based lesson or even culminating project! I would love to use the eBook to give students instructions, provide links to other resources to further develop knowledge on a subject, and even add images, videos, audio clips! I would also show samples of the project I am aiming to have them complete, links to relevant information etc. I would like to create a video of a scenario that my students need to solve or complete in order to get them interested and engaged right from "Setting the Stage!"
My students would be taught how to create an eBook in "steps" or "chunks" in order to scaffold their learning. So, I would begin by having my students first just explore the tool, create what they want, look at the options available! I would then talk about effective VS. ineffective presentations, show them the list of "presentation rules" similar to what our Prof provided us with! I would then have them create a title page, play with design options, colours, fonts, etc. Eventually my students would learn how to add photos, videos, and then tweaks such as transitions and animations! I believe it is important to go step-by-step with my students so that they do not feel frustrated or overwhelmed. Of course, I will be lending my assistance throughout their technological development! I am excited to put this new tool to use!
